DEMO / PROTOTYPE

The Guardian Assist software is not a court-adopted system and is not legally authoritative. For demonstration and feedback only — do not rely on it for filings, verification, or care decisions.

Case record

Case communications

This is the case’s own record of email, and later texts and calls — not a view of a personal inbox. The aim is to keep each lifecycle in one place, securely, so the system can assemble the next email, filing, or grievance from what actually happened. You still approve anything that goes out.

In the works. The log and the drafts are here to try. Live email into the case mailbox is not connected yet. Text and Phone on Send open the apps on your phone and can note that on the case. They are not sent by Guardian Assist.

What you are looking at

A mailbox and log that belong to the case. Schools, plans, clinics, and counsel can write to it. What you send leaves from it, so the reply comes back here. A copy can still be forwarded to you. Preferences are tabs for email, phone and voicemail, text, mail, and meetings.

When a case has not set its own forward address, it uses Communications on Cases. Clearing the case value shows that address again. Phone and text follow a situation — usual, vacation, traveling, recovering, or grieving — so routine messages wait outside those hours and urgent ones can still come through. Routine texts can also wait and go out together every 15 minutes, or every hour, so the phone is not pinged for each one. Mail stays in the mailbox. A mailing address can forward to another, such as a PO Box to Home, from Account. Meetings have their own hours, and Assist on this page can set them after you confirm.

What it is trying to accomplish

Families currently hunt a personal inbox, paste whole threads into a chatbot, and lose any proof of when a message arrived, whether it was opened, or whether the attachment is the one that was received. Guardian Assist is meant to be the record. A personal inbox is a copy.

Because the messages live on the case, a later draft — a provider chase, a grievance, an investigator reply, an annual narrative — can be built from cited excerpts instead of from a paste. Nothing is sent until a person approves it.

How it is meant to work

Each case has two addresses. One is memorable, built from the case number, for offices you want to be able to find you. One is obfuscated, for anything you do not want guessed from a public docket. Show lists an address that is no longer active. Case numbers are public, so mail to the memorable address is treated cautiously unless the sender checks out.

The record keeps a fingerprint of the message and its attachments, whether the sender’s mail authentication lined up, and a trail of received, sent, opened while signed in, and forwarded. That is a receipt of what the system accepted. It is not, by itself, proof of who a human is.

Tags such as a provider chase or a preservation hold group one lifecycle so you can pull just that thread into an Evidence Index or a draft.

If what you see on the screen does not match this, that is useful to know. Send feedback.
