Terms of use

Effective September 4, 2026

These terms govern use of Guardian Assist and the Guardian Working Group on guardianassist.org. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Prototype — not a court system

Guardian Assist software is a demonstration prototype. It is not a court-adopted system, not legally authoritative, and not a substitute for Letters of Appointment, clerk authentication, or official court records. Do not rely on it for filings, verification, or care decisions.

The Guardian Working Group is a real community list operated alongside the prototype. Joining it does not create a court case or a Guardian Assist case file.

Not legal advice

This site is not legal advice, legal representation, or the practice of law. Using the site does not create an attorney–client relationship. Court process descriptions, playbooks, briefings, and AI helpers are informational and operational tools only. You remain responsible for your filings and for consulting a licensed Arizona attorney when you need counsel.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Deadlines, form versions, and authority snapshots can be wrong or out of date.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guardian Assist, LLC and the site operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, filings, or opportunities, arising from use of the site. Direct damages, if any, are limited to fifty U.S. dollars (US$50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; those limits apply only to the extent allowed.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, submit malware, harvest personal data, impersonate others, or use the site to harass. Demo and seed data are for demonstration. Do not upload real Letters, PHI, or sealed court records unless a production program and written agreement say otherwise.

Accounts and Working Group

You must provide accurate information you are authorized to use. Confirmation emails prove control of an address, not identity for court purposes. You may unsubscribe from Working Group mail. Operators may remove accounts or list membership that violate these terms or that pose safety or abuse risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, except where a law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions: use the Contact page.
