Prove authority
Clerk authentication
A clerk confirms the Letters and orders before anyone else is meant to rely on them. Authenticate is a human decision. The system can highlight what it extracted; it must not authenticate a file by itself.
In the works. A person still has to press Authenticate. This queue is the prototype of that review, not a court’s own system.
What you are looking at
The queue of cases waiting for review, and recently authenticated ones. New documents on an already-verified case come back here.
What it is trying to accomplish
Agents, providers, and welcome notices all depend on a record someone has actually checked: case number, powers, mental-health expiry, restrictions. The original stays encrypted, with a fingerprint a later download can be checked against.
Side-by-side help is fine. An automatic Authenticate is not. If the queue lets a file become “verified” without a person confirming it, that is the thing to flag.
If what you see on the screen does not match this, that is useful to know. Send feedback.
