DEMO / PROTOTYPE

The Guardian Assist software is not a court-adopted system and is not legally authoritative. For demonstration and feedback only — do not rely on it for filings, verification, or care decisions.

Stay legal

Renew mental-health authority

Inpatient mental-health powers expire on their own clock, separate from the ordinary annual report. Renewal needs an evaluation by a psychiatrist or psychologist, requested early enough to file before the authority lapses.

In the works. The expiry and the evaluator request are here to walk through. The evaluation coming back, and the court filing, are simulated.

What you are looking at

The playbook for continuing inpatient mental-health powers: the expiry, the evaluator request, and the filing that follows.

What it is trying to accomplish

This is not the same signature as the annual physical. Continuance of inpatient powers is tied to an evaluation by a psychiatrist or psychologist, and the motion needs to be in before the authority expires — on the order of thirty days before.

The case tracks that date, asks the right kind of evaluator, and keeps the chase on the case mailbox. If the Letters do not show these powers, this playbook should stay quiet rather than invent a renewal.

If what you see on the screen does not match this, that is useful to know. Send feedback.
