Ward in a unit
An inpatient placement starts a short clock to notify counsel and to tell the facility who the guardian is. The case is meant to run that clock and keep the notices with the rest of the record.
In the works. The counsel clock and the facility card are here to try. They stay on the case; they are not transmitted to a live unit.
What you are looking at
Open placements, hours left to notify counsel, and the facility card that states the guardian’s authority.
What it is trying to accomplish
A unit admission is easy to lose inside a personal inbox. Counsel has to hear quickly, and the facility needs a clear statement of who may decide. Those notices belong on the case, next to the admission time, so the lifecycle is visible later — including from the case mailbox.
If what you see on the screen does not match this, that is useful to know. Send feedback.
