The Guardian Assist software is not a court-adopted system and is not legally authoritative. For demonstration and feedback only — do not rely on it for filings, verification, or care decisions.

Getting in

Seeking guardianship

Getting appointed is often as hard as living with the appointment afterward. This page is trying to take one telling of the situation and turn it into a plain-language path and a summary a family can hand to an attorney or the Self-Service Center.

In the works. The opening court case is not filed from here. The page organizes the situation and a summary for an attorney or the self-help center.

What you are looking at

A short intake for someone who does not have Letters yet, including emergency and mental-health situations. It asks what is happening and who is involved.

What it is trying to accomplish

Court materials increasingly live online, but they mostly tell a person to find the right form and follow the directions. In a crisis that fails families. The aim here is to do the organizing: structure the story, suggest temporary versus permanent, and name the kind of clinician to ask.

It does not file the opening case, and it does not give legal advice. The output is a summary a person can take to counsel or the court’s self-help center. If the questions feel like a form code sheet, that is the opposite of the goal.

If what you see on the screen does not match this, that is useful to know. Send feedback.
